Ok I been up here at school for two months now. Ive seen plenty of badass cars running around but I really havent talked to anyone. I was wondering, is there a drag strip anywhere close to here? If not that, I heard something about guys meeting at Sonic on Wed. or Thur. If there are meets, which sonic, what day, and when? Im bored as hell, I want to meet some other cars guys.

Hey, I'm bored in Lubbock too. There's a strip in Idalou, but I'm not real clear on how they run things.

8:00 on Thursday nights at the Sonic on 50th & Quaker....there are some really badass cars there. I was supposed to meet a guy there but either I didn't see him or he didn't show. Being myself, I didn't just strike up a conversation with someone like I should have.

Anyway, if you have AIM, look me up thebigwaldo. Maybe we can hook up and find some trouble to get into or something.

When I used to live in Lubbock they raced at idalu on wednesday night just a test and tune. a few times we raced on the runway at the old air force base I imagine that is out since sept 11. All in all the racing sucked in lubbock. Even thought there seemed to to be lost of fast cars.

 

they meet at sonic on 50th and indiana i believe on thursday. idalou is a track and there's another one that opened up. it's supposed to be good. the website for lubbock is lubbockracing.com

Alright, it's Sonic at 50th and Indiana on thursday nights, at about 8pm! As far as the track goes, there is Idalou, and a enw one Dolaca half way between Levelland and Brownfield. Idalou has a street grudge night every other saturday where you can race your car for $8, there is no bracket racing just heads-up street style racing. It starts at 10pm and lasts till 1pm sometimes.

 

Joseph speaks the truth, at least about the local V6 Pimp part....Tonight is Idalou Street night....Gates open at 8:30pm, close at 12:00ish....$8 to run all night, time equipment is set-up so you can get times.
