Spec stage 4, or mcloed street twin. Do not buy the spec stage 3, no matter what anybody says.

Re: lt1 clutch

My buddy has a RAM clutch and I really like the feel of it. It is important to me not to have a clutch that wears the leg out.

I had a stage 3 in a 385rwhp H/C LT1 on a 150 shot, no issues here.

Is that on your 94 or 97? Looking at your power for the 94, it would need at stage 3 at the LEAST, prob a street twin. If its your 97, then I don't want to hear it because I'm putting that in my 6 speed conversion tomorrow!!!

Its in his 97. His 94 has a turbo 400 in it, or, next to it

Its funny when you search old threads about spec clutches. You get a few responses from people defending the stage 2 and 3, then a year or so later they update the thread saying it failed. If you are running one and have had no problem yet, I say give it another year or so. I used to defend them also. Now I will tell everyone to stay away from spec sprung hubs!! Its just not worth the chance.

Get the stage 4. Its tame, and it wont break

Ran mine for 20-25K miles....daily driven and approx 100 1/4 miles passes.
When I switched over to the auto the clutch was worn almost to the rivets and still had no issues.

Re: lt1 clutch

I have a Fidanza FW + Ram Powergrip HD in my LE2 383. Probably a little stiff for most of you folks. It is roughly comparable to a Spec 4. I really like it though and would recomend it, but only if you like a grabby clutch with a firm pedal.
