Good question!

Ya, 2 hours is plenty of time for him. He is known through-out the f-body community and has the routine down.

Why not email him at info@carolinaautomasters.com

Hey, I've been tuning LT1/LS1-6 professionally since early 2000, and have operated a dyno/tuning shop since May of last year.

If a car is not too wildly modified then I can knock it out in under an hour, complicated cars, like big cam/head combinations or blower cars take a little longer, but inside of 2 hours we're fighting for those 1-2 rwhp.

One warning, I do not have LS1edit for ODB-2, so at this point for me to tune you'd need to install an ODB-1 computer. I can get more HP out of that combination anyway. However, if there's a gaggle of people (well 4-5) who don't wanna make a switch and only want to tune the ODB-2 computer, then I'll get the software. I'd have it already if I really saw the demand for it. In North Carolina and surrounding states, I don't see much of a call for it.

Hope that helps answer your questions, I'll be happy to answer more...

So far this week I've only tuned 2 LT1's, a supercharged one that went from 406 to 516 rwhp and a mostly stock one that went from 252 to 274 rwhp. But I have another on the schedule for tomorrow.

Made some nice LS1 gains this week too.

look forward to meeting y'all next month!

Cool

Here is the original message from the DFW F-Body list:

Announcing a DFW LS1/LT1 Dyno Tune opportunity. This has come about by the fact that a renowned GM tuner, Jeff Creech of Carolina Auto Masters, is coming to the area the weekend of November 14-15th. Initially he was just to tune one car but since everything fell into place so easily, namely the brand new dyno facilities of David Houser's Kwik Kar in Richardson, he will have some extra time to open up his services to anyone who wants some tuning. Jeff has gained a reputation on the East Coast of being able to safely get most out of a tune. There have been numerous occasions when he as even found more horsepower, sometimes 15-20 more, than other custom tuners. This is nothing compared to what he can unlock vs. a mail-order
tune.

Cody, agreed if you're seeing that kinda knock retard there's a lot of room for improvement. Question for you though, to make sure it's fake can you pop in a couple gallons of race gas and see if the problem changes? I'm betting it won't. I can see knock on the dyno plain as day, but if we know before then we can address the issues differently.

And yeah, make appointments by sending mail to that dfwdynotune address thing in that earlier post.

This is going to be a lot of fun, seeing old friends and making new ones and hopefully making a lot of cars run a lot faster.

take care,

You can sign up for tuning by sending a note to dfw_dyno_tune@mindspring.com. Make sure to request a time slot.

The Friday slots are still wide open. Saturday is starting to fill up.

Last I checked there were no LS1's signed up?? I figgerd it'd be all LS1/LS6 and only 1-2 LT1.

I tune a lot of LS1's and everyone reports they pick up time at the track after tuning.

I'm looking forward to coming down there!!

No plans to be in Houston, but if there's a gang of you down there needing tuing and a dyno with wideband to rent for a day, then I'll come down there. You can be host just like Ed and David are in Dallas and it'll happen.

My local customers are going to get pissed that I'm not there on the weekends for them, but they get all week.
