LS-1 owners please read

I was wondering if i should write a letter to the previous owner of my car a 2000 sebring silver SS or is that physco? i know that these cars can be modded and run really hard. im am curious if this has ever happend to any of you(received a letter from current owner)? do u think i should let it go and just worry about how i treat it, or should i make sure that all the miles he put on it werent in the 1/4 mile.
i got the car from carmax with about 13000 miles on it. i live in san antonio and i had it shipped from houston. the only mod that i have added is the cut-out.

thanks for any help fellas, i really apperciate it

I'd say that you'll be alright as long as looked for the usual stuff under the hood and in the car...holes in the firewall (nitrous lines), holes in the trunk area (bottle mount), stripped/scratched bolts on the motor (like they've been removed before) etc...if the car came with some mods already, it's most likely been "opened up" a few times before. You still have the factory warranty, so I wouldn't be too worried about it...just my $.02

Yeah, what Ken said, but these cars are made for the track and perform very well. I wouldn't worry about it too much. It should still be under the factory warranty anyway and if you got it stock there isn't much that I'm sure was done to it. You should be fine.

Wink

Not an LS1 owner, but I'll throw in my 2 cents anyway...

You have 50/50 chance, so all you can lose is a first class stamp, paper, an envelope and a few minutes writing it.

If I sold my car to or traded it at a dealership and I would receive a letter from the new owner, I'd probably throw it in the trash. Maybe not...

Later!

as far as the letter i say why the hell not its only .37 cents

i think if you found his email address you would get a better response.

but if you do write, send a self addressed stamped evelope.
I know I would be to lazy to mail a reponse

Heh i owned a 2001 Z and my 94 was more fun to drive.

But then again i like torque. torque is my friend.
