I'm looking for a dauchshund (sp?) pup for my fiance's bday on May 2.

I'd prefer to not spend too much $$ (we don't need a $500 "show dog")

I just thought I'd see if anyone here had any leads; also, the slew of "parts for sale" threads in here gets really tiresome...

 

incase i dont talk to you on aim...i just talked to my mom and she works with a lady who raises them. told you shed know somone. shes going to talk to her tommarow for you.

 

dont buy while shelter dogs die.

you can find what you want near you for cheaper, not to mention knowing you saved the dogs life rather then promoted breeders who keep adding to the problem.

Yep, I found that site a little while after I posted this thread. I was a little skeptical of "shelter dogs", so to speak, as I've had purebreads my entire life...

A trip down to the SPCA last week eased any reservations I had about it... I haven't found the right pup yet, but I'm definetely going to be adopting a dog.

I highly urge anyone else to do the same
