looking for 383 engine builder dfw area
just received the bad news my #6&8 pistons are slapping, i need a very inexpensive but good engine builder to build me a 383 stroker motor any suggestion are builders please let me know. Any suggestions on wear to buy my rotaing assembly?

I recommend Hans Feustel. He's not cheap but he's definitely the most reputable in town. The price depends on what you want. My last 383 was well over $5,000 but it's seen 23psi of boost and lived
You could build a nice one for half that with the cheaper Eagle crank and rods.
Performance Marine in Granbury will be a little cheaper with pretty much the same quality of craftmanship (he worked for Hans for years). It would probably get done a little faster to.

i saw one guy go through about 3 or 4 of them even though he still swears by them. i could ask around to get you an exact answer. and ive talked to a couple other people. but you expect these things with performance engines right? but at least ive never heard of there motors burining oil like other local shops around here.
