Houston Holley Help!
Houston Holley Help!
Does anyone in Houston have a good understanding of how to set up a Holley? I have been trying to get my '77 to run decent, but I can't seem to figure it out. I put a rebuild kit in the carb, but I don't know how to set the floats or adjust the mixture. I know it isn't rocket science, but it is obviously beyond me. Any insight anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.
The car is a '77 Can Am (LeMans with a factory shaker hood and spoiler) with a Pontiac 455, mild cam, performer intake, 9.5:1 compression ratio and a T400 trans.
The carb is a Holley 4160 (750 cfm I think) with 70 jets and a 3.5 Power Valve (engine doesn't make a lot of vacuum)
3 weeks ago this car was a borderline parts car, but with the help of a few people it now runs, drives, and stops. I have a quadrajet on it right now that is a piece of crap. Like I said, any insight, advice, or help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Jeremy
