But i do agree neither of them have anything on the Spurs.
Either you love the mavericks or you didn't see games 3 and 4. And I'm not really even talking about Yao, although they liked to get him out of the game early so he couldn't have an impact. I'm definitely not one for conspiracy theories, but when Stern made it a point to jump into the middle of this one it's obvious he didn't want more information coming out about it. Why else would the fine be $100,000? And it wasn't for integrity, except for the few guys like Tim Duncan, there is no integrity left.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2056599
...you will clearly see that it was a huge misunderstanding, it was not the referees(which everyone assumed that's what he meant by official) to which he was referring to. And yes it was for integrity, to accuse the NBA of conspiring against a team is simply ridiculous, i can't belive you actually by the crap. Is the fine a little steep? yes perhaps, but the fact still remains he did question the integrity of not only the officials but the league itself, basically implying that the league was full of corruption. If you can't se anything wrong with that then you are oblivious. Also here's something for you, i read an article about this event(which i'm tired of reading about not btw) in which the author brought up a good point in asking why would the league want to conspire against it's greatest international asset in Yao Ming? If exposure is why you claim they fixed the series you are sadly mistaken my friend, Yao Ming and the Rockets would draw just as much if not more viewers because of the internationl publicity of Yao Ming. And to say the rockets are a better team is just ridiculous, sure you get 60 points a game for T-Mac and Yao but you have no other supporters around them and in a long series that catches up to you. Not to mention Dirk had the worst series of his life which is the only reason the rockets won as many games as they did. This was the case in this series whether you're willing to admit or not. Oh well this is a car forum so i'm done arguing with you about it.

I didn't read your whole reply, yay, but my point is that people blame officials ALL THE TIME. This is not some isolated incident. And yet Stern blew up and the referrees union or whatever they have called for Van Gundy to be FIRED. Doesn't that seem like a HUGE response to something that happens all the time? Why suddenly become so upset? Cuban even comes in during this scuffle and says he thinks the refs are targeting Dampier and does he get jumped on? no. I'm just saying, it's very, very suspicious. Why do they brush off the allegations over the years and then suddenly jump on van Gundy of all people? It really doesn't make any sense until you apply the conspiracy matrix. The refs and Stern decide to call Houston and Yao tougher than they should. Van Gundy finds out about it and complains on TV. Stern and officials are exposed, how do you apply damage control? shut van Gundy up and fast. boom $100,000.

In the end, it woudn't have mattered anyway, the Suns would have destroyed either team. The winner of Suns vs. Spurs will win teh championship and my heart...

Re: Go MAVS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Houston is good, but not better than Dallas. The Mavs are better because they have more playoff expierence<----sure I spelled that wrong.

It doesn't matter though, because the SPURS ARE THE TRUE TEXAS TEAM

Great argument, sorry you can't deal with the facts.

Anyway, that was a huge win last night for the Mavs. You never know which Maverick team is going to show up. Can't wait to see how they do at home.

Re: Go MAVS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the Mavs might have figured out how to beat the suns...make steve nash beat you. As long as you can contain stoudamire and marion, you can let nash score all day. The suns can't make stops when they need them and they have no depth, the longer this series goes the more it benefits the mavs. I give the suns the next game though cause there is a 2 day rest in between games. I definetely fore see a game 7 though.

word. and the mavs will take it in the end, b/c phoenix has no d! as long as mavs keep up the offensive rebounding they can win this series, and if they do so, will end up playing miami for the championship. and just on a side note, no one in the league can beat miami, dwayne wade is straight up amazing.
