FS: Houston, TX - '95 Camaro Z28, $4900 o.b.o.
Hey guys,
I need to get rid of some debt, so I'm liquidating in the area of my F-body right now, I'm sad to say. I will be back eventually, but she has to go for now. Going down in income by over 50% is hurting me badly.
Anyway, here's the specs:
Factory Stuff:
1995 Camaro Z28, 109k miles (108,xxx)
-3.23 factory gears, Automatic (rebuilt less than 5,000 miles ago)
-T-tops, rarely removed, work great, no leaks.
-has CURRENT inspection (2/05 expiration) and CURRENT tags (6/04 expiration)
-Engine cranks fast, runs strong, does not smoke, trans shifts firmly thanks to rebuild
-New battery about 3 months ago
-Good condition interior, fair condition exterior (paint could use work, see more below)
Aftermarket Stuff:
-GM Performance Parts "LT4 Hotcam Kit" (cam and 1.6RR's)
-MAC headers and Y-pipe, fit great, easy spark plug changes
-SLP "two on the left" 3" cat-back exhaust
-3" Flowtech cut-out (in usual spot under rear seat area)
-K&N FIPK intake
-BMR weld-in subframe connectors
-17" 10-spoke Camaro SS wheels with NITTO drag radials on back, Kumhos on front, less than 2,500 miles on wheels and tires
-Car ran 13.52@102 before cam. Has not been to the track since the cam... haven't had time or motivation

There are a couple of issues: (hey, what do you expect for a cheap car??)
1) I'll get this one out of the way... If you Carfax this car, you'll find out it was in a wreck in 1996.... it was subsequently fixed by the previous owner, whose dad owns a body shop. The wreck was mild enough that the hood and radiator support were simply bent back into shape. But yes, if you look under the hood, you'll see the signs of repairs. IMO it's a minor issue. The body and frame are straight... the BMR subframes went on without trouble. The t-tops fit properly and tightly and do not leak. The title is "blue" but notes that the car was rebuilt. It's had nearly 100k driven on it since the repair, so IMO it's a moot point, but it does result in the lower than typical price.
2) as a result of #1 there is some clearcoat peeling on the front fenders.... There are various scratches, scuffs and peeling. Some due to pure age, others due to use. This was a woman's commuter car from 1996-2002 when I got the car.... I've put less than 5,000 miles on it in 2 years. Car was bone stock when I got it and has spent most of the last 2 years in my garage except for a couple of trips to the track and to shops to have things put on. I drive it to work every once in a while, but basically the car doesn't get enough use for me to justify keeping it.
3) The A/C needs to be recharged. It was working, blowing cold before the cam install when I evacuated the system. If I don't have this done already before it's sold, I'll give you enough off to have it done. I'm not much in the mood to work on cars right now.
4) There's an oil leak somewhere. I don't really even know where at this point. I don't have time to worry about it right now. I think it's the front timing cover or the rear main seal or both. I just check the oil occasionally and clean up the little that stays on my garage floor. I'd just leave it as-is until you get ready to do a motor build-up. If you know LT1's, you know that oil leaks are part of LT1 ownership. If it didn't have the oil leaks I'd be asking $500 more. The motor runs strong and oil pressure is within normal LT1 specs.
NOTE: PRICE IS OR BEST OFFER... That means I'll go down a little. I really need to liquidate and get some money for other things. I have the title to the car, so your cashier's check or cash will get it in your hand. Location is Spring, near FM 1960. I can show it here at the house or someplace nearby. I am busy lately, so I probably cannot drive across town to show it, but I will be driving it to work at 290@BW8 at least a couple of days a week to show it off for sale.
PM or email me and I'll give you my cell# if you can't read it off the window in the pics...
Thanks,
Michael
