FS: '98 Pontiac Trans AM

I have decided to buy a dedicated road racing car. The white is at a cross roads ... I either need to gut it and make it so or sell it and buy what I want.

The car shows 72K on the clock, but it's actually closer to 80K. The speedo was screwed up for a while.

The car has seen a lot of road course duty over the past couple of years, but has been meticulously maintained. If something was even questionable, it was replaced with GM new or OEM replacement, as far as OE wearables.

The list of aftermarket parts is staggering. Here is a partial list of parts:

Engine/Drivetrain:
G2 lid
S2 TB
LS6 intake (no EGR)
Patriot S2 heads with the new Patriot springs
TR220/.558/114 camshaft
ARE ported oil pump
Turn One ported and revalved power steering pump
LG Super Cool radiator w/ built in oil cooler - plumbed with An fittings
LS6 clutch/PP
Ripper shifter - new style
FLP long tubes w/ 2 sets of cats
Borla
ES trans bushing
T2R high bias Torsen carrier with 3.42 gears
LG backing plate with stud kit
Vented rear end
new U-Joints
LGM tune - sees 380/380 at the rear wheels

Suspension:
Bilstein HD shocks - stock valving
G2 Super Springs
G2 lower control arms with rod ends
G2 poly/rod LCAs
G2 double rod PHB
G2 torque arm
new ball joints and knuckles
Prospeed brakes - 4 piston Brembos on 13.5" rotors
new OEM rear brakes
new front wheel bearing/hubs

Interior:
G2 4pt roll cage
articulating leather seats - back seat is removed but still have it
Corbeau racing seat
5pt Simpson harness
OEM 10 disc CD juke box

Exterior:
Raptor hood
Chrome (not polished, chromed) 2k WS6 rims with nearly new Bridgestone 275/40/17 tires

Spares:
LS1 block with main caps and covers
LS1 intake
LS1 heads (98 version)
LS1 camshaft - stock
lots of brake pads, rotors and a spare set of the Prospeed rotors.

I'm sure there is more ...

I'm afraid to look at the numbers, but I easily have listed $10K in parts alone. The car runs very strong and could easily make 400 rwhp with a leaner tune or even a cam change.

Asking $16,500 for everything. And please don't even ask if I will part it out. At this point, it's not an option. I might be there someday, but not right now.

Pretty car, put it in the autotrader. You might come closer to getting what you want for it than here.

Never raced ... seen a road course, but never raced.

I guarantee you will not find a better cared for car than this one.

Good Luck selling it Mitch.... You know it is going to hurt to see it go bye.

Thanks, James. We have all put in a lot of time into this car. I can't think of anything that hasn't been massaged, upgraded or replaced ... maybe the fuel tank?

The wheels are as near perfect as one could hope for after having a couple of sets of tires mounted on them.

The tires are 80% remaining or more.

I couldn't get those 16" rims over the brakes. The rotors are almost as big as the rims. So, no thanks
