FS: 2001 "Stripper" Z-28 Hardtop, 6spd

For Sale: (In Dallas, TX)
2001 Z-28 Hardtop

This is a "stripper" base model, lightweight, ready to race! This car has no power locks, no power windows, no CD player, no rear window defogger, stock-non hurst shifter, and cloth-non powered seats.

Car has 27k miles, very limited track time, and no street racing. Oil changed every 3k miles using Mobil 1, and the plugs and wires were replaced with MSD 8.5 racing wires and NGK TR-6 plugs.
Stock, at 2k miles, the car dynoed 318/336 with just a whisper lid.
At 15k miles (with just a Borla, whisper lid, no cats and SLP y-pipe) it dynoed 342/362!!!!!! That dyno was with stock cam, stock headers!!

Fully modded with 17 x 11 and 17 x 9 rims, and half a tank of gas, it wieghed 3300 pounds.

This car is in excellent shape, body and engine, and runs great. The only reason I am selling it is because I had a baby girl, and need something more practical.

Car is back to stock now, and ready for a new owner to take her to max power!!

$17,750 or obo

Please-mail steven_pena@compusa.com and copy saipena02@yahoo.com for current pictures

For pictures of the dyno and pictures of the car while it was modded see www.ls1power.moonfruit.com.

The car had cam, springs, exhaust, shifter. Non of those mods are curretnly on the car, and the car is being sold Bone Stock. It's in great shape, and has lived a babied life.
With Exhaust and Lid car trapped at about 87 mph, dyno #'s can be seen in first post.
Thanks
Steve

Not sure where that question came from, as I have made no mention of NX or NOS.

If you have serious inquiries as to the purchase of the car, please e-mail me for pics.
thanks
Steve

I don't mean to sound rude, but the sole purpose of this thread is to sell my Z, not to get into tech talk, or talk about what my car used to be, other than a strong running car that is great for a person who wants a car that starts with good baseline numbers. I will answer any questions to serious inquiries, and will e-mail to pictures to potential buyers. Once again, this car is in excellent shape, and the only reason I am selling it is because I had a baby girl and I want an SUV so I can fit my golf clubs, stroller, diaper bag, play pen, dog and baby.
Remember, if you have specific questions or interest, be sure to e-mail me at saipena02@yahoo.com and copy steven_pena@compusa.com
Thanks
Steve

No prob Brook.
This price listed is about $1k under blue book retail, and is negotiable to a buyer who is ready to move.
