My Dad just bought a new car, and asked me to sell his 1997 Grand Am for him. It is a pewter 4 door SE with the V6 and an automatic. He bought it new and it has been a good car. It has 104,000 mile, many between DFW and St. Louis. The struts were replaced a couple thousand miles ago, and the cat was recently replaced. It just passed inspection with no problems. The only known problem with the car is the stock radio is broke. The volume **** is loose and if fades in and out. I will replace the stereo if the buyer wants or before I put it in the Auto Trader. I have replaced all the fluids in it in the past year and put front brake pads on it. The alternator was replaced about 2 years ago, as was the water pump. The timing belt was replaced at 85K. $4,500 OBO.
