FS: 10bolt - Zexel Torson, 3.42s, etc
Rear is out of a 97 SS. Has about 75k on it. Comes with an aluminum cover with main cap oiler (channels oil slung off of ring gear and routes it onto the main bearings). Has the strong Zexel Torsen differential. 3.42 gears. Use with 3-channel ABS, NO traction control. Great condition, no whine, etc.
Comes with 2 qts redline synthetic oil, and a bottle of GM additive (obviously, the fluid is not in the rear
). No brakes or brackets.
$250
I'm in Houston.

Re: FS: 10bolt - Zexel Torson, 3.42s, etc
Yes, it will fit 93-02 Camaro/Fbody v6/v8.
Will it break? If its a stick car (like mine), ANY stock rear is not going to like much more than drag radials. Even with drag radials you can't just dump the clutch. You have to launch "soft" and feather the clutch. With an auto, you can expect the rear to last quite a bit longer. Stock rears just can't take hard launches. It just depends on your setup and how "hard" you plan on launching. Bottom line is that if you plan on drag racing with more than street tires, there is a nice potential that you'll break the rear. More of a question of when, not if.
Install: How long it would take to install, or how much someone would charge? It would take you probably ~3 hours with a friend to drop the old one out install this one. Not sure how much someone would charge. A shop would probbaly charge a couple hundred bucks for the 2 hours of labor or so. I really have no idea though.

...a friend of mine is looking for some draglites for the rear. Whatcha got? 15x8? 10? 6.5 bs? 7.5? Draglites? Prostars? I'm always looking for something
.
I wanted to sell this rear end to buy my SA XD9. I'm just realizing that guns are fun too, and they don't break down as much!
