Hey man,

I didn't see this message until this morning, but I saw your car out there .

Did you see a pewter fixed roof coupe C5 and a black C5 Z06 parked together? That was board member "Jim S. '95 Z28" and myself.

How'd you run?

Re: Drag Racing at HRP tonight!!

it was very hot and humid.. my best run was 13.3@106.. that totally bit.. I had fun. My girl got to try it and made 4 passes. I did 5. We had fun which was what was important.

I couldnt get any traction with all the damn trucks doing burnouts and tearing up the track..

Was that a 2.1ish 60'?

I haven't been out in my C5 until this weekend. I have to say, I was impressed with the traction - not sure if it was the car or the track, but by what you're saying, I'm going to assume it can be attributed to the car.

Jim S. has a really nifty gadget that tells temp/humidity/DA/correction factor among other things. Really neato . The DA was around 2900 at 94 degrees and around 40% humidity. Yeah, we were sweating our ***** off!

I'm glad they are showing times now (*as an option)

Re: Drag Racing at HRP tonight!!

2.192 60' - 13.366@106.94
That was without running rpms up.. when I tried just a 2500 rpm launch.. not even a full drop. just easing into it.. I would get nothing but spin..
One such run was me spinning almost all of 1st. 2.4 60' - 14.444@104.23 <-- 104! haha sad..

Thanks for the weather info. I knew it was bad, just didnt know how bad. HAHHA

Yeah.. I miss Wednesdays for racing.. prefered that over all.

What were you running? or if you dont like to tell, what ball park?

No, I am not a street racer or anything .

Best was 12.97 @ 112 2.13 60' and most runs were 13.0 @ 111.xx 2.2x 60'. The car is an '01 Z06 w/ MTI induction. Weight w/o my lard butt was 3090 . I ran 10 times and still couldn't get myself to get more aggressive with the launch. Got to go back and practice!

Re: Drag Racing at HRP tonight!!

Thats a decent MPH for a bone stock car at that weight, especially in the heat. No lid or anything?
