I have a love it or hate it suggestion for you that you might try for lunch one day.
A place in downtown G.P. (not to far from Arlington) called Don Juans Mexican Food is a fav of mine.
A buddy born in bred in Arlington and I go all the time.
It has been around since the late 60's.
You will either hate it or love it and it appears to never be a middle ground with people.
Some people think it is dog food and for others like myself it is a horrible addiction.
I suggest the Grande Plate.
Another similar suggestion is the Candlestick Inn.
Have you heard/been to either?

As for any Pappa's related place, I love the Cajun place, the seafood place is pretty good, the BBQ is okay, but the mexican stuff I found pretty blah.
Far too many small independents doing tex mex in Texas for me to get excited about any chain places is also part of my problem with it.
That and heated (as in warmed in an oven) hot sauce? What is that all about? Does that Pappa's place still do that?
