(DFW) Looking for machine shop references...

Can anyone recommend a machine shop to do the machining for my stroker buildup? I am in need of the typical buildup machining, bore/hone, deck, align bore, convert to splayed mains, etc.

I live in the Allen (North of Dallas) area, but willing to get quality and a fair price.

Thanks in advance,
John

always heard good things about kim barr in garland. somewhat pricey, although the only thing i've had them do is resurface my flywheel. i've always taken my stuff to rick at metroplex machine right on the border of dallas/mesquite/balch springs. between me and 2 friends have had about 10 motors built without problems. i don't have phone numbers for either place, but they should be in the phone book. if not, email me and i'll get them for you.

Thumbs up

Another vote for Kim Barr... He does great work. Just did a valve job for me. He's also done the prior machine work on my 357..

Dennis Wells at Wells Racing in Duncanville/Cedar Hill or Hans Fuestel in Ft Worth area are the 2 that I would pick from.

Hey Mitch, do you know anything about that place Mac's in the Whiskey Flats area. He does turbos and stuff. I heard a rumor that he used to be a NASCAR mechanic, but dont know for sure.
