DFW Dyno Day???

Any locval DFW shops having any dyno days this late in the year? I know most of these are during summer months but figured i would ask.

After chasing gremlins in my car and having the car put on hold several times, I have FINALLY got the car running pretty good. I inspected and changed alot of things (lifters, guide plates, tear in elbow, plug wires, plugs, etc, etc) and made some small differences. The biggest change was when I got a base tune from PCMforless and took it for a spin.

I am still on the base tune but it seems to be making alot more power and the car is not a pain to drive with bucking, surging like before and an over all rich smell at all times.

Post up if you know of a dyno day anytime soon at a local DFW shop.

I'll give my opinion of HPP next week, but so far it's been pretty good. May car is there now getting the finishing touches on the tune, like getting rid of the surge and just making it a little more smooth through the RPM range.

Re: DFW Dyno Day???

eh, just looking for a dyno jet to get some #'s on the car the way it is.

Rather find someone closer than Lewisville if possible. I remember the dyno days that people posted up and had 2 pulls for $25-30 or so.

Re: DFW Dyno Day???

Yeah that's mine, I'm gonna have to put away the motorcycle here pretty soon so I needed the car to be as smooth as possible so I could drive it around in traffic and what not. I'm sure they will finish it up sometime this week so we'll see how it goes. Can they tune FAST, DFI, BS3, etc.?

Yes we can.

If you guys as a group want to get together, we can set up a dyno day for you guys.

Probably in the neighborhood of 45 a car for 3 pulls with A/F or 35 for 2 pulls with A/F.

Depending on how many people can make it out.

Whoa,

I thought you could ride motorcycles just about all year round in Texas. I'm moving to Grapevine in a couple of weeks and was hoping to put some miles on my new toy yet this year.

When does the riding season end and start up again down there? What kind of bike do you have?

Sorry about hijacking the thread.

Re: DFW Dyno Day???

If youre coming from Michigan, it will be year round for you. Us Texas folk dont like the cold too much.

If you guys are interested in setting up a dyno day, check out www.hppracing.com and e-mail me with participants and possible dates.

You can ride all year round, that's not a problem, just gets a little cold sometimes. I was riding to work everyday and having to comb my hair and all that stuff at work. Also I couldn't dress in slacks and what not when I wanted/neeed to obviously. I still ride just not to work anymore.

Forgot to add that I ride a 2003 R1, old pics in my sig.
