Question Considering selling my car, any ideas?

I'm contemplating selling my car. The purchase of a house is taking precedence of my project, could you guys help me out on how to sell it? I've owned it for two years, have 3 left on the lien. I owe less than $8000 (damn warranties), and owe about 400 over KBB. So, here goes:

GOOD: 95 3.4L V6 with 68,XXX miles; rebuilt auto ($2500 job, and yes, it hurt); Trans-Go Shift kit; black; T-tops; tint; Bose CD; graphite gray leather TA seats; Clifford 8000 alarm; 17" SS 5-spoke rims with 275 Z-rated tires (95% or more tread); G2 supercoils all around; Bilstiens in back; Hellwig sway bars front and rear; K & N FIPK; Z28 muffler with tips; rear axle swap: from a 97 Z, disk with LSD, have paper work for work done, new gears on top of that; probably more that I can't remember off hand.

BAD: as name implies, hail damage on both rear quarter panels. Whenever I mention it, people who've seen it have to take a second look; because of tire and gear change, speedo is off; because I'm a dork, I attempted to swap out the door panels with TA ones, only I tried the driver side first, and knocked out the mirror controls. It won't adjust up/down.

I've purchased stuff I was intending to custom and install, but never got around to it (150 cluster, some HID lights and driving lights, Pro-beam covers, sequential tail-lights, and some other stuff); I have extra interior panels I was going to use for a stereo setup.

So, what do you guys think? Thanks in advance.

Hate to be the bearer of the bad news, but...

Do not look at any kind of book values. They have no correlation whatsoever with the real transactions taking place.

OK, now that I got that taken care of , let's get to the matter at hand here.

Sure, it is a pretty low mileage car (heck, you have only 5K more than my 99 Bird ), you have done a bunch of stuff to it and spent a bunch of money in it, but getting what you owe on it is going to be next to mission impossible. You will most likely not be able to get anything even close to your payoff.

Unless you find a buyer who really, REALLY wants your car and your car only and appreciates the mods so that he/she will overlook some of the shortcomings it has.

IMO, $6K is already pushing it... Market values for these cars just plain suck...

Good luck!

Trade in value for that car in good condition (NO HAIL DAMAGE) is $4500 and $6000 private party. If you think you are going to get DEALER RETAIL value GOOD LUCK.

What I'm trying to tell you is that you are upside down with that car and like the above post said it will be VERY hard for you to sell it for 8K.

As stated above, the only way you are going to get 8k for that car is if you find someone who absolutely loves it and is willing to overlook the minor shortcomings.

Your best bet is to part out all of your mods. I know it might be a PITA, but financially, it looks like your only option. For the wheels and seats alone, you could probably get $1500. Springs, sway bars, rear shocks could net you another $400 or so....anyways, you get the picture.

Good luck with it.
