College Station/Bryan People In Here

I am looking to go to Blinn in the Spring, and I am curious as to how the roommate business works up there. At the Blinn website under the Bryan campus they have a housing listing for people looking for roomates for their houses and all that. Typically are these rooms furnished? Or do you have to bring your own bed and all that? Has anyone lived in an apartment/house with a couple other roommates that they didn't know beforehand? I'm still just a kid living at home going to community college so I am new to all this

Anyone got any experience/advise for me? Thanks.

PS: Whats goin on tonight?

$445 a little more than I wanna pay. The ads I was looking at were around $300-$350 a month. Thats really the most I could pay.

I was staying in Briarwood when I first moved up here... Rent for a 1/1 with all bills paid never made it over $500 a month...
Check out roommates.com and set an ad up for yourself... You should easly fine a room here for $300 to $400 a month...

Re: College Station/Bryan People In Here

I'm living in a duplex this year in College Station. It is a 2/1 duplex and rent is $550 a month. $275 each and we split utilities and cable, should come out to no more than $340-350.

Most houses or duplexes won't come furninshed. Some apartments will come furnished, some partially furnished, and some unfurnished. Just look around for a while to find the best deal possible. One person apartments are often expensive, so try to find a roomate or two or 3. Search google for the Bryan-College Station Eagle(newspaper) and The Batallion. There are tons of places listed online. Just search.

Good luck

I lived in the dorms my first two years, both times with someone I had never met. Everything went good with both of them, but I've also heard bad stories....so it's a chance you have to take if you do live with someone you don't know.

I live in a house in S. College Station, it's a 3/2 with garage and all. I pay 375 + utilities. With food it usually comes out to around 500/month. It was not furnished, but my roomates had most of the living/kitchen stuff. All I had to do was furnish my room.
