Cheap (and I mean cheap) beater for sale

My sister in law has been staying with us for the summer. She brought her car with her. It was a hand me down that used to be her fathers work car, and doesnt really want to drive it back home, so she's selling it and flying back.

'89 Chevy Cavalier. 2 door, auto, cd. This was a work car for years. Its been pretty reliable, but it does burn some oil (not enough to smoke or anything). Just keep it filled up and its all good.

Must sell ASAP! $400 obo.

I'm tempted to buy it just for sh*ts and giggles. Or sell it to Ford since that f*cker breaks too much things (cars and bones).

Would it make 300 miles of interstate getting it home? Overheating problems, tires roadworthy? The whitewall on that pass. front looks a little messed up. You have a title? Stick or Auto? I need a beater to deliver pizzas in.

Yes, it would handle interstate driving no problem. It was driven here from Nebraska last spring, over 1000 miles with no problems. I think the tires have decent tread on them, but that one has rubbed against some curbs, lol. They may need replaced sooner than later. Its an auto. The title is in Nebraska, and they will sign and send it when its sold. Does there have to be a bill of sale for the state of TX? Either way they will sign it and all, we will just have to send it there and wait a couple days for the mail.

Actually..., that looks like it has been driven with not enough air in the tire and the sidewall has rubbed against the rim.
