Is there anyone in the Ft. Worth area that can run a diagnostics scan on my car. About 6 months ago I installed a TTS Long tubes and a corsa. Immediatly after the install the SES light came on, but went out after a couple of days. About a week ago I hit a piece of asphalt thrown from another vehicle and the SES light came on later that night. Come to find out I busted the post cat o2 sensor on the driver side. The sensor was $75 so I went with the o2 sims, and I'm still getting the SES. I went to the dealer, and got a bunch of crap, so I resorted to Auto Zone and the scanner read Low input on the Mass air flow, high input on heater sensor (?) and bad o2 sensors. Only the one sensor was damaged, and Auto Zone deleted the codes, only to reapear later. The only thing that has been done before the light came on was hitting that asphalt. Any suggestions?

For that MAF code I'd clean that thing first. Either with rubbing alcohol or electronics parts cleaner. The heater sensor code, I think, would be part of the front O2 sensors. They are heated O2's if I remember correctly. I'd put it on a dyno with a wideband O2 to see how rich or lean it is running. I could be wrong if I am someone help him out.

Oh if you can wait until next weekend FAStech/Speedtek in Dallas will probably have a dyno day, $35 for 3 pulls with the wideband. I'd actually like to see what your car makes Michael.

Did you replace the front or rear sensor with an 02 sim? You can only use those on the rear sensor harnesses. Try replacing the front 2 sensors with new ones.

I've been working my butt off. I have 2 jobs ! I see your opening your own shop now. That is cool as hell man, hope you do great ! One of these days I'll get around to getting some gears . I probably should put a new posi in there while I'm at it, the stocker has 187k miles. Yeah I got a free 90 coupe, and I just picked up the 351W block for it last week . I am building it from the ground up though, so it'll be forever before it's done .
