A/C help.....

Okay so I decided to try to figure out my A/C problems on my Firehawk cause last summer blew with no A/C. I had it checked out last year and was told it was leaking at the evaporator core and was going to cost $2K to fix. Not really buying that. They charged it up and it worked for two months. I'm okay with losing a can or two of freon over the summer so i decided to try and put some in. The gauge read full, so I vented it to let what was in out and tried to put new freon in. I was adding it (with the A/C on- made sense I guess) and it was building up a little pressure on the gauge then I heard something that sounded like a vacuum leak and it dropped back to zero. Wouldn't build up any pressure after that. I look under the car and the compressor is spewing water like crazy. not water like antifreeze, but condensation water. Anyone have any experience with this or any idea what it might be?

Re: A/C help.....

Very likely the compressor itself. Mine went bad right when I topped 100k miles. Be happy to take a look at it when I come over!

No a/c (unless you remove it) sucks!

I would think the compressor would have to at least be part of the problem. If this car doesn't quit falling apart it's gonna get nuked.

Re: A/C help.....

My A/C leaked before it went out. Keep a look out for white crud built up on the hard lines. Could have a very small hairline crack somewhere. A/C probs are almost as bad as electrical problems .
