THE BOWLING GREEN THREAD 9/14 - 9/18

If you have never been to the Fbody Invasion/Reunion at Bowling Green, KY, you really ought to consider going this year.

The North Texas caravan leaves Tuesday evening 9/13 & meets up in Texarkana (hotel location TBA) and then starts out bright & early Wednesday morning 9/14, rolling into Bowling Green in the early evening just in time for the SuperSport Owners Association (SSOA) pre-event events. Here is that information. If you drive a Firebird, no sweat. Just tell me and I will sponsor you for these events.

You can preregister for the other activities which have been planned by SSOA and the Corvette Museum by visiting this site.

Lodging can be obtained at the Continental Inn, 700 Interstate Dr., BG KY 42102, 270-781-5200. Tell them you want a room close to cytruffle and the SSOA members (my room will be #107, so try to get one close to that).

There will be drag racing, auto-x, road tours, dinner cruises, seminars with Famous People in the Car World, celebrity choice car show, and tours of the Corvette Museum and Plant!! observe below:

I'm not going to be able to go, but if you could do me a favor cytruffle; take some pics of the late 1980s Camaro and Firebird concept cars if they are there! You know, like the california camaro concept and the pontiac Banshee. I've been dying to see a picture of the California Camaro concept from the side with the door closed (all I have is one with the door open). If any of those are there, I would really appreciate it if you could take some great pics!
