Anyone wanna make some money?

Doing a fuel pump? Who knows how to do it right?

I've got my car up, put in a new Holley pump I just bought, and the f'ing thing won't even turn on.

I went to put the rear end back on and the damn thing tilted on the jack and bent the bolt on one of the shocks, so now I gotta replace the shocks too. I'm just so fed up with it that I'd rather just pay someone to come to my house and do it.

So, any takers? I live in Spring, on the north side of Houston. Name your price (reasonable price that is ). PM me if you're interested.

Re: Anyone wanna make some money?

Just did this in my 3rd gen, but you are just too far away.

When you put the holley in, it didn't get any power when the key was turned on? Did you check to make sure power was getting to it via the connector in front of the gas tank?

If you had power at the connector, but the pump didn't respond - then I'm thinking you've got a bad pump or the connections were made incorrectly. Either way, that pump will have to come out again.

If there was no power at the connector, then you've got another problem.

Well, yeah, I'd really prefer not to cut a hole in the car. Besides, the rear end and the exhaust is already off, so there's not much work to be done to get the tank out besides unbolting the straps and fuel lines again.
