If you feel like driving around greenville, I'll do it for you. I'm not sure how far away San Marcos is though. Greenville is around DFW.

I shattered a chromoly pushrod and it went everywhere inside the motor. But when I pulled it apart, I have some cracked pistons and a few small cracks in the rods too. The cylinders are out of round and I was getting a lot of blowby. So it was about to explode anyways, I guess it was better that a pushrod shattered but at least I can use the block and crank and didn't take the camshaft with it.

OMG that sucks. Especially since it sounds like you have already built the bottom end once. Wow.

Naw, it was a stock bottom end that I paid $500 for. I was a complete long block. Since my car made power until 6900 rpm, I shifted at 7000 to 7200 rpm. Sometimes I would miss the shift and it would go to about 8000. It lasted 30k miles though! But I think that I got my money's worth out of it.
