Question Anyone with a W.W. Kit in San Antonio?

Like the subject says does anyone have the Wings West Kit on a LS1 Trans Am in San Antonio? The reason of this post is because:

I've heard many people complaining about the car over heating because of that kit installed. What do you guys in san antonio think about that (since ill be in the same kind of weather)?

Many people said that the W.W. air dam piece (that comes under the car) is twice as big as the stock piece and much heavier therefore it created many scraping problems. Which was not very practical for everyday use. So when they decided to go back to the stock air dam piece overheating problems started to occur.

For those who dont know what "air dam piece" im reffering to. Its that plastic thing under the car behind the front bumper.

Anyone that has knowledge about this in san antonio, please HELP!. Whats the way to do this? what should I do? how big and bad is the WW air dam piece? Also my fans wont be on the whole time would it?

Thanks in advance.

If you are interested in buying one, a guy in this thread claims he found it new for $400.

Thanks for the feed back I emailed tybrne .. ill post up a reply as soon as I get an answer from them. $400 was for the LT1s.
Anyone else have an input on this?..

Hopefully on the over-heating issues that I was concerned about?

HOLY $HIT! the guy was right.

The whole WW kit from tbyrne is for $489.99 (not including the air deflector which is another $40). Also the wing is not included.

I called many places in san antonio and asked about the prices this is what they said:

1) USA MOTORSPORTS: $939 without back wing and not painted! price includes tax and shipping. Installation is for $125. They do not paint. Spoken to Gilbert.

2) TIRES INC: $725 without back wing. Price includes tax and shipping. $350 to paint and $150-200 for installation.

3) AUTOMOTIVE DISCOUNT SPECIALIST:
Should be $764.1 they offer 10% off of W.W. website price.
300 to paint 300 to install! OUCH!

4) MOTORSPORT DESIGNS: Phone disconnected? 682-5702

5) RADICAL TINT & ALARM: Doesnt do it anymore

6) FANATIC ACCESSORIES: Phone busy for an hour! Here's the number: 733-4700

As for Tybrne, this is what they told me:

89-0481 1998-02 Wings West TA W-Typ 5 piece kit $489.99

no air deflector included (piece that i was talking about when I mentioned the overheating topic. comes under the car.) Shipping to san antonio is $75. You dont have to pay tax. Price was $699.99 before discount. Kit comes directly from Wings West NOT TBYRNE. I guess its much cheaper since tax is not included and shipping is not half as much as tax is.

For a second I starting doubting it was fake. But since shipping comes directly from Wings West. This looks too good to be true.

Man those Tbyrne guys should pay me for doing such a promotion lol...

Anyone with a kit like that in san antonio have an input on this? Come on I've seen someone with it on a black trans am. Im sure theres more.
