Anyone over 30 in the DFW area?

Looking to hang with the over 30 crowd in the Ft Worth area, I'm getting ready to hit the track more often but most seem to be just out of high school, where as I have 2 in high school and looking for the old farts club to get into the swing of racing again.

Thinking of going to Denton or Kenedale or Ennis.

I am in my 30's, but don't drag race much anymore.

But there are a group of us "old timers" that autox and run track events. You should give corners a try.

Cool

Well... I'm closer to 40 than 30, so I guess I could be called an old fart, then...

I have actually never been to track , except as a spectator, of course.

I'm cosidering doing that some time in the near future, but we'll see... Denton track is only about 7-8 minutes north from my house, so it's not that I wouldn't have the chance...

Never tried AutoX, either, but that is definetely closer to my heart. I love twisties! Maybe it's because 15-20 years ago I was involved in rally racing back in Finland.

Later!

Where can you do that and I still be able to afford to send my kids to public school?

I bet I'm closer, I turn 40 on the 15th.

I know there is a track here somewhere for twisties but it's
2400 initiation, $75 a month dues, and $40 a 1/2 hour, or it's
$10 a night at Denton for 1/8 at a time.

I'll give up, you are definetely older, then. I still have a few years to go to that, but I'm still closer to 40 than 30.

Yeah, I remember when they established that place a few years back. I wonder how they are doing overall nowadays... Bunch of events, at least.

For the time being I will definetely have to resort to the cheaper alternatives.

I am one of the older crowd that does open track road course events like Chuck.

The Drivers Edge offers several events and a couple of different tracks.

The cost is usually around $250 for TWO days of track time and that is in your car.

This is the track we go to the most. Motorsports Ranch

BTW... 36 here.

DV... that was a special event where we were running the track backwards with less run groups so maximized track time. Too bad it rained all friggin' day.
