Anyone from Lubbock, Tx?

I live in Lubbock, Tx and was wondering if there others out there with SS's? Like to get to know people with similar interest. I travel down to the Midland/Odessa and Hobbs, NM area. Hope to hear from anyone soon!!

There is a website for lubbock, I *think* it is something like lubbockracingscene.com. I think there are a couple of fbody peps there. However it dead most of the time.

I'm over by Clovis, NM which sucks, I go to Lubbock every now and then cause I have alot of friends there.

I'm here at Tech. There is a decent racing scene here. Nothing like Dallas or other places. But guys used to meet up at the Sonic on Indiana and 50th. I've seen a few nice Z28s and SS's running around but most of Lubbock from what I've seen is infected with idiots who think their ricers are the fastest things around. Also seems like their are a lot of V6 f-body guys too. I don’t really hang out with the "street racing" crowd. I’m not too into that with my little V6. But its worth a look. And yeah the web site is lubbockracingscene.com. And yes it is dead. There are like 8 guys that post on it constantly and nothing else really.

How much did you get for it? I found this droptop Stang to put next to your Boss. I dont know how much you want to spend, but its low miles and a 5 speed. Check it out.

Saw "Tommy" when it was released in Hobbs ...

Actually, there are quite a few f-bodies in Lubbock! I don't know how big of a response you will get on this board. Some are also on LS1.com and LS1tech.com. There are usually Sonic get togethers. Try www.lubbockracing.com. I beleive they are making some changes. Don't know how long it will take. Hope to see you around!

I went to tech for 4 years, and I thought the racing scene was pretty good up there. I do agree with the ricers driving around town, but I thought there was a pretty healthy mix of good legit cars up there. We use to go to slide and 50th and drive up and down 50th till a little past university. Cops were out like crazy but we would go down a street and race. I had a lot of fun and got into a bunch of good races up there. Except for the fact that the roads are so up and down when you cross intersections of streets. I'm in H-town now, but I sure do miss lubbock.
