Anyone here in the A&M Sports Car Club?

Just curious if any of ya'll off here are in it. I just got one of their little cards left on my car at the movie theater tonight, so I figured I'd check it out and maybe meet up w/ them sometime. No drag/autox for me though, just meets. My damn synchros are all bad so I can't really throw the stick around in my car too much without grinding.

I'm in the club. There is a drag event today but i'm not going probably. There are quite a few people that meet up at sonic on harvey, the drag chair from the club is usually there. There is an autox on sunday but i'm working at TWS so i wont be there. And they have a club dinner (usually about 8-10 people) every monday. Info posted on www.tamscc.org

That club is funny!! Ive seen some of those cars and couldnt help but laugh, especialy the yellow V6 camaro, come on, you know the one. Ive yet to see any of the SS or WS6 with the club sticker on them. plus I saw a few of those cars together in a parking lot once and drove through to see what was going on. Im planning on being out the there tomorrow afternoon, maybe ill stop by if there will be any of the V8 cars i see around up there.

i used to go to autocrosses a few years ago when i had friends that went to school there, back before the whole bonfire mess. tons of fun, and most courses can be run in 2nd gear so you only need to shift once. it was frustrating getting your *** handed to you by miatas and neons. back then the club was mostly into that kind of thing, a few guys had nasa licenses and would go to tws, and msr, but mostly auto-x. i went on a rally once, wasn't my thing, but was kind of fun getting lost way out in bfe. its worth checking out.

Which yellow v6 camaro? I can think of two yellow camaros in the club and mine is a 69 with a LT1 and the other is a CP comp car that has a 500hp small block. There are alot of "sticker cars" (cars that just have the sportscar club sticker) but aren't actually members. As far as members go most have V8's or M3's or miatas etc.

Half the stickers you see are people who never make events. They came to a few meetings, joined up, and either left because they had other stuff to do, or found out we're not a bunch of hardcore street racing a$$hat$ like them Then they go back and hang out Wednesday nights at (enter new hangout spot here) and go to 47 and street race. Yeah, some club members admittedly do that now and then , but the majority of us enjoy the legal kind of racing. I don't know of many SS or WS6's in the club at the moment, except Will. There's a few Z28's and a Trans Am up in CS who I know of that are TAMSCC members.

When I was at A&M, I was in the club all 5 years (yes, 5 ). I still am cuz I'm a lifetime member. I go back for autocrosses regularly because they have probably the best autocrossing site in the country. In fact, there's an autocross tomorrow (Sunday 10/23) if anyone is interested. Check out www.tamscc.org for more info. Most fun you can have in your car. I'll be in the pewter Z28 with the big tires. Come say hi

Its a yellow 4th gen camaro, LT1 style, with black racing stripes and the euro tail lights.
