Well...after owning the car for nearly 8 years I finally have developed a problem with the Firebird popup headlights...but it is one I havent seen before. While replacing my tranny I had to unhook the battery. When I hooked it back up the headlights did their normal popup and down thing they always do and made a few clicking sounds. When I got in the car and turned on the lights...neither would go up. I unhooked the battery and reconnected it again and again both lights popped up. Again I turned them on with the switch and nothing happened. After doing this several times I thought the switch had gone out. I turned the switch on and unhooked and rconnected the battery again. As before both lights popped up but this time they stayed up. I went and turned the switch off in the car and both lights closed. Then I immediately turned the lights back on and NOTHING. WTF?
I know the motors arent bad because the lights go up and down and dont make any funky sounds like stripped gears...and the simple fact that they are BOTH doing this is strange. Is this the headlight module?
