Look for a guy in your area named Joe. He goes by SmokeTA on the board. He did mine at a really great price and is fairly local (I think) to you. He is knowledgeable, does good work, and is willing to work with you.

Ryan, above, was another option. I have not had any work personally done by him but did talk to him about doing my work. Very prompt and honest with all of responses. The only reason I didn't have him do it was Joe gave too good of a deal. Let's just total labor for cam install and head porting was less than the cam kit. Joe honored the price he quoted even though part prices had gone up. I honostly don't think you could go wrong with either guy.

I am going to also back up Joe here. he did the heads/cam on my little brother's 96 Z28. He did a great job and a VERY reasonable price. He knows his stuff also.

 

Well I'm getting the cam in a few days and I'll have heads soon. I'd want everything done. How much does he typically charge for the heads/cam and how much for just the cam?

Joe and Ryan both know a lot about these cars. You won't go wrong with either one. Either way, when you get your car back it won't be the same old Z28.
