Anyone in DFW w/C5 brake conversion on their car?

I need to find someone who has the C5 brake conversion done on their car that would let me bring a wheel over and test fit it for clearance.
I have 17" Simmons OMs and using the template available indicates it will be a very close fit.

If you have an LT1 OBD1 I can return the favor making any PCM flash changes for you or if you need a lift to put your car on.
Thx

I have the Bob Bishop/C5 conversion on a '96 Camaro that has been well sorted.

Yep, thats the conversion I was planning on getting, just not sure that it will clear my wheels I have.
Could I bring a wheel over sometime and test fit it on your car to see if it will clear the calipers in the next week or two?

Much appreciated

Re: Anyone in DFW w/C5 brake conversion on their car?

hey Rob how's the TA 'vert running?

My car is doing really well, i have not made any changed yet w/ my setup since i picked it up from Scott, besides just driving it daily and putting miles on it lol.

I will be getting my intake ported by Lloyd here pretty soon, then will hopefully get a tune done, along w/ replacing the stock fuel pump w/ my Racetronix pump and FPR.

hope things are well, talk to ya later

I got a few bugs to work out still. Ordered up a 3k stall convertor to hopefully give me my brakes back at idle. Got something in the fornt cover making alot of noise, was up at Scott's yesterday and it sounds like the bearings/gears in the opti are toast, but does not affect running if you can bear the noise, so its going to wait. Got some rearend noises been try to fix, Scott took the rear cover off and the backlash on the gears seems to be the cause from wear and a little on the axles as well. Tried a spare 58mm TB he had and it made about 10 more hp, but throotle response is alot more crisp just there seem to be some issues with the TB so I'll probably need to get another one.
So, after I get the convertor in and the TB issue resolved and the weather cools some I'll probably start the tuning part in better detail, its pretty fat right now up to about 4500rpms then it goes to about 12.7-13afr.
I'll probably redo my exhaust sometime over the winter too myself, keeps banging on things and just not happy with the bends and clamps that Jerry used...I think I can do it with a universal mandrel kit and a cut off saw, my welding skills are better than the muffler guys skills too I think.

Ok, so does anyone have a C5 brake conversion in the area???

Re: Anyone in DFW w/C5 brake conversion on their car?

Thx for the offer Andy, a friend of a friend just came by with a Z06 Vette and I test fit them on there...and they do not fit
So I now have all the parts except for the conversion brackets if someone local is interested in buying them PM me. I have everything but the pads, brackets and Raybestos spring and shims.
