I have a '96 LT1/T56 Camaro that the previous owner told me had an aftermarket tune on it. I'd like to be sure it has the stock tune - can anyone help me out or is this a dealer-only thing? I'm in the DFW area.

Nobody? No shops can do this or anyone other than a dealer? I'm willing to pay for it, just trying to find something close to the DFW area without the dealer markup.

 

Why do you want to go back to a stock tune? Are there any mods on the car which may have warranted a tune?

Car has no mods. Want to run in a class that requires a stock tune, so I have to be sure it has it (and I was told it didn't). I didn't think it would be this hard to find someone to do it...

 

I've had good success with Ion at http://www.madz28.com/. He's not in the Dallas area but should be able to get you a factory tuned PCM.

Maybe call an auto parts store to see how much a new one would cost.I think the last one I bought was around a $100.You might find a used one from someone on here.
