1998 camaro z28 front bumper damage ???

Ok....after years of bidding on Ebay for cars, I finally won my first auction....of course, it wasnt until after auction was over that I heard from seller that pass front bumper is dented....I thought it was just a bad pic angle but found out at end of auction it is a dent.....I am talking with seller right now and I requested he take car into GM dealer and get estimate of damage...this way I will know exactly what to expect.....in the meantime, i am posting link to auction and if any of you are body guys, give me your .02.....

thanks,
John

Where the nose and passenger side front fender meet?

There is a thin "Z" shaped bracket that attaches to the car's substructure and the fender. That bracket is bent ... but not very bad.

If you remove the inner fender liner and the lower valance piece under the nose, you can get to the 10mm bolts that hold it in place.

You can remove it and reshape it easily enough or you can probably buy a new one from GM for $20.

The fender and nose are plastic, so they should regain their form once the bracket is back in place.

It's a couple hours worth of work ... an easy fix.

That's not very bad at all, it's an easy fix. At first I was expecting to see an image that was tricky in the angle, but it seems fairly straight forward in the picture. 'What you see is what you get' sort of deal. Don't worry about it, straighten or replace the bracket and enjoy. If there are any scratches, buff them out and you'll barely remember it was there in the first place.
