1987 Pontiac Formula for sale...$1500 OBO
1987 Pontiac Formula for sale.
Engine: Originally an LG4, but has been swapped at some point with a 350 shortblock. I've begun a swap over to TPI, but it's not finished. Needs fuel pump installed (LG4 had a lower pressure one) and some other misc changes to be complete - or you can strap on a carb/intake and be done with it.
Trans: T5 5-speed seems to be in good working order. I have driven the car several times and have not had any problem with it. Clutch engages fine.
Rear: B/W 9-bolt (disk brakes) with 3.73 gears. Reportedly installed recently by prior owner.
Interior: Black cloth interior. Seats are faded but usable. Center console was replaced with a 4th gen 6-speed console. Carpet is worn, but usable. Radio pod was removed at some point (I have it, just not installed and face plate missing). Power windows work (slowly). Power locks (sticky like most 3rd gens). T-tops.
Exterior: The car is black, with the Aero spoiler (split from heat/age). Tires need replacing but can be used short-term. Some scratches/chips in the paint but it looks pretty good overall.
I’m asking $1500, but will entertain offers. I debated parting it out, but I’d hate to pull apart a car this complete/nice.
Here are some pics. Please note that some are “before” shots.

Thanks!

Besides, I have a '71 Camaro that was my project before this car and I feel I've neglected it long enough.

Re: 1987 Pontiac Formula for sale...
It's in OK condition. I mean, the body is straight and everything is there. It's got T-Tops (two sets). It's primered right now. It's got the Turbo Hood on it, but I have the Shaker Hood and T/A fenders and another front bumper cover for it. I have a leaky Turbo 350 Tranny from a 78 T/A and a 305 V8 from a late model pickup that needs a rebuild for it right now to get it running. I dunno yet though. I have to wait and see what happens with this tax return. My wife wants another car and she may win out on this fight, lol. If I decide to fully go ahead and sell it, I'll make a post and have pictures and a more detailed description.
