1976 LT..finally got some decent pix
Re: 1976 LT..finally got some decent pix
[QUOTE=gun4hire]am I wrong, or are those '74 front and rear facias?

That particular facia was used from 1974 through 1977.
Sweet LT, by the way. It was the LT Camaro that got me going on F-bodies in the first place. ...and I still miss my '77 LT quite a bit. Nice touch of customizing there with the '77 Trans Am quad tips. I blacked out my headlight bezels, whereas you left them natural. I looked hard at the picture, debating it and I think you made the right decision: It gives the right balance of black and satin aluminum.

Re: 1976 LT..finally got some decent pix
thanks for the comments guys! I wanted to remain kinda retro, thus the Cragars... I have always liked the TA tips, but I may modify the rear quarters (later) to allow them to tuck up real tight. I was really torn between blacking out the trim and bezels, but I figured I could leave 'em like they are..and if I didn't like 'em ...then I could always black 'em later...but I like the sparkly chrome. And everyone knows chrome makes your car faster! It took 6 years (and 3 cars) to do this thing! I dropped it with a professional, and prepaid him for the resto (BIG MISTAKE!!!!) he used the $$ to build a shop, and then had to keep back-burnering my car to pay his bills. I tried to be patient, but after 5 1/2 years I got the car back, and he gave me a corvette project for the $$ he owed me. I sold the vette (too much money and work!) and used the $$ to do this car... It took me 6 months to do it myself! I guess all the waiting definitely gave me the burn!! It is priceless, when I am out driving it, to see people in expensive rides twisting their heads to look at my old second gen!

Those '70 F-cars are really climbing in value and getting alot harder to find, especially in good shape. I want a 76 T/A.
