i have the dreaded 1870 code. i've been feeling the rough shift for sometime off and on now but finally got the SES code today. from what i've read i have 3 options....1. valve body bore and sonnax kit installed, 2. rebuild tranny, 3. buy a new tranny. has anyone in the houston area had option one done??? if so, is the sonnax kit what shops install mostly? are there better or cheaper kits available? bottom line...how much to take care of this problem with the bore/kit fix??? thanks for any help!! BTW, its a '96 4L60E
