Whos From Iowa??
I know there has been a few threads on this...so i dont want to hear about a search because I have looked and read them.
I will be coming back to Iowa around July and I will be looking to run my Z28. By then I will have my 383 stroker and new T56 dont by then...I am located in Armstrong (North Central, right on the border on MN) Or Estherville, Spirit lake or Okoboji if you have heard of Any of them...
Anyone close by to do some cruising?

Bancroft huh? No ****...Im all up fr cruising when I get back...I will have my 383 in and will be ready to tear up pavement...Im James...Whats you guys names? Know of any drag strips around?

Name's Kent. The closest is an 1/8th mile track in Humbolt, I think the closest 1/4 mile track is in Cedar Falls/Waterloo, but I'm not totally sure. Needless to say, the car scene in this part of the country is pretty much dead.

James, do you know the guy with the Boss 429 in Armstrong there? He stopped by my garage sale last year, just thought you might know him. He's a vietnam vet who, I think, has had it since new. Would love to see that car.

Cedar Rapids, here, Evil I saw you registered on the EIFBA.
We are having small gtg for dinner Sat night at Hacienda Las Glorias for those in Cedar Rapids @ 7 if you guys want to comeover and meet some of the EIFBA people,
Any of you guys know who has the 80's red porche (like the one in the Tom Cruise movie) in town that sounds like it has a V-8 in it?
I ended up coming off a light with him tonight and he tried to stay up with me, don't know if I got to much of jump or he didn't have the off line power, also don't know if it was a V-8 either but it sounded healthy.

Yah...I just got registered on there a few days ago...I will be coming back around the 4th of July when i get outta Baghdad...and will be looking to dyno and run a bit on the track...I wish I could come down for the meet gixxer, but unfortunately Im still in Baghdad...But the answer to your question Kent, I dont know...I could check and ask my mom...she knows everyone in that town and their first borns and their whole family tree...lol Gotta love small towns...Anyone else from up northish?

Im game...I got to put some miles on my car to break it in...so if anything I might just go down there and tear it up with you guys...I got to put about 1000 miles on the engine before I can do anything...and thats if nothing breaks...fingers crossed and knocking on wood
