I was just wonderin who all was located in the Purdue area. I currently live in SE Indiana but i will be attending Purdue this fall. What are the good performance shops to check out in the area? Maybe we can all meet up sometime.

 

I am down here at Purdue this year. As far as local performance shops go there isn't much if anything. TRU motorsports is the local ricer shop and mostly import show car bs. If you want you can check out the Purdue student club, Purdue Automotive Performance Association. They do all kinds of stuff, unfortunately I haven't joined and this will be my 4th year here. Their website is web.ics.purdue.edu/~papa. They usually hold the Grand Prix car show every year and other various events through out the year.

 

Yeah not to much in the area regarding performance shops. Everyone here usually makes the trip up to Speed Inc. in Shaumburg, IL. The PAPA club (Purdue Automotive Performance Association) is a great group of guys. Always wrenching on someones car or holding a track day somewhere. We'll look forward to meeting you next semester. We will hold a call out show sometime soon after school starts on the memorial mall. Stop by and introduce yourself.

 

Hey 6speed, is your dads vette the blue on with the big white stripe down the middle? If so that car is freaking awesome. I saw that one at one of your guy's callouts in the mall. Just curious if that was yours.

 

Yep thats the one, Admiral blue with a big white strip down the length of the car, red hash marks on the driverside front fender and black ZR1 wheels. I try to get it out to alot of shows in the summer, only 1000 were made and you don't see many on the road so people enjoy seeing it when its out !
