Red face Oh boy her we go.........Emission testing ughh

Ok well i got my notice in the mail to take the car in for emissions. I have Jet Hot LT's and i see no possible way of putting cat(s) down there. Theres just no room. So just so i understand what im facing. I show up, they plug my car into the computer scanner, if my car shows no codes or warning lights they pass my car and im free? or will they do the smog test no matter what? How the hell am i gonna get through this?

What year is yours? If its a 94 then you are in a hard spot. Cuz they will put you on the rollers. You might get lucky and pass anyways without a cat, but probably not.

Well, i know that you can go and fail and then you need to take it again in a certain amount of time. I dont know what amount of time that is though. So you can always call em up and ask.

Never had anyone in IL actually to the visual check, but you may pass anyways with no cats, I've seen people do it before.... If you don't pass you have awhile to do it again...
