Hooker cat-back for sale (Northern IL or surrounding preferred)

I know this should go in parts for sale, but every time I post it, people from all over want shipping quotes, and quite frankly, I don't want to ship it. Something this large will cost too much to ship, and I dont want to even hassle with it.

So, I would be willing to deliver it within a couple hours in any direction of Chicago (I'm actually in the SW burbs).

Here's the details. It's a used Hooker Aero Chamber cat-back for 93-95 single cat LT1 cars (can be used on dual cat cars, but an adapter pipe needs to bought). It's about a year and a half old, and is in decent shape. The muffler itself has some minor surface rust, but it is still very solid and has several years of life left in it. The piping is in pretty good shape, and has minimal rusting. The over-the-axle pipe was cut to remove the kit from my car, but a simple adapter will be provided to the buyer to put it back together (welding recommended, but it can be clamped). The only problem with the kit is that somehow, one of the chambers inside the muffler came loose, and rattles a little bit when you turn a corner. It doesn't hurt flow, performance, or sound in any way. It's not a bad noise at all...I lived with it for almost a year or so.

This is one bad-*** sounding exhaust. If you've never heard a Hooker cat-back on an LT1 car, you're missing out. I love this exhaust, but I removed it because I went with true duals when I installed my Jet-Hot long tube headers.

I would like to get $150 for it, delivered, but will consider REASONABLE offers (in other words don't offend me by offering $50 shipped like some other yahoo did). Will consider trades as well. E-mail or PM me with offers.

not trying to low ball you or anything but i also have a line on a 2OTL for $175 shipped, that sounds like it is in better shape

For some reason, I never saw this reply.

If you're still interested, I still have it. If you want it, I'll let you have it for $100. Let me know so I can get some pics of it.

shoot me some pics!
maybe one (if you can) of the inside of the muffler?

last350@hotmail.com

its not hacked up at all, its all unbolted and never been welded up, or it can atleast be all bolted back together without the need for a muffler shop?
where are you exactly?

I'll take a few pics in the next couple days.

It's never been welded, but it's all still together. The tail pipes are still on the muffler with the chrome quad tips still attached. The over-the-axle pipe was cut in the straight part when the muffler shop took it off, but it's easily fixed with a 3" adapter that can either be clamped or welded. We did this to my old Flowmaster when I sold it to my roommate when I put the Hooker on my car. His has been on the car since then with no problems, and that's been about two years now. The muffler end of the over-the-axle pipe is still bolted to the muffler, so I can't get an inside the muffler shot, but if you want one, I can unbolt it. I'm not sure if I have a new gasket for that though, cause it uses a header collector style 3 hole gasket.

I do still have it, but no pics yet. I don't have a camera, and my friend that does have one has been too busy to swing by lately.

I could take a pic with my webcam, but pic quality will be crappy and do no justice to the exhaust.

I see you're in Westmont. I'm near Aurora, if you want to meet sometime this weekend to see it in person, let me know. If you want it after seeing it, cool. If not, that's cool too.

I still have this for sale. I have no room for this in my garage, so I really want to sell it before it rots away outside. At this point, I'll give it away for $75. This is a year and a half old Hooker cat-back for $75. Good luck finding this good of a deal again.
