FINALLY sold the Camaro!!!

It was a sad sight...had her for almost 4 years. The WS6 replaced it. The need to shift was just too much for me!

Time to start working on the DSMs so I can have some fun this winter!!

Re: FINALLY sold the Camaro!!!

Ya, I remember when I helped my dad sell his old 91 Camaro. It was kind of depressing watching the guys load it up on a trailer and haul it to texas. But he got over it because I sold him my old IROC 10 minutes later.

DSMs are fun, maybe I'll get one one day.

Congrats Brandon. I'm glad everything is working out for you. Next year should be a good season of racing for all of us. Also I'm going to try to get this S.C.A.R. thing going strong next year.

Re: FINALLY sold the Camaro!!!

Well I went and picked up the talon last in Angola and I swear everything that coulda went wrong did. No running lights on the trailor, we didnt leave til like 830 pm, couldnt get the neon we were hauling up to angola on the trailor (that took us a half hour, the car didnt run), the talon had a flat tire when we got there, it took us 3 THREE hours to get the talon up.

You will never guess how i got it up there...a kid in a fricking CIVIC, a slammed VTEC hatch, PUSHED the car up the ramps...i have a new found respect for hondas.

Im just gonna say screw it and just fix up the talon and not bother getting the eclipse (it was a parts car). Got home at 430 am this morning and got back up at 8 for work...oh yeah it rained all night too. ****ty!

Anyhow, i got about 1800 more dollars of CC debt than its mod time!!!

Re: FINALLY sold the Camaro!!!

my friend has a 93 turbo awd talon and he was running 12.6's at like 110 mph with not alot of money mods. Were talking like under 1500 I think, but maybe even under a thousand...I am not sure. Congrats on the sale of the Z though. Next year is gonna be some fun, plenty of racing.........I got my headers in last week, but one of the collectors was bent a little on the end...I am gonna try and fix it up, because it would be too much of a hassle to try and ship em back....especially since I got a really good deal on em. I just hope they dont leak when I go to install em, but if they do I will just take it to an exhaust shop and I am sure they could fix it for cheap.

Re: FINALLY sold the Camaro!!!

Well, that didnt last long. The kid that bought my car's dad broke an axle saturday and wanted me to pay for half of it, when i told him the car was sold as is (which i have a bill of sale that he signed) he said he was gonna call an attorney.

So much for having any money

Damn Brandon! That sucks! You should be fine with that Bill of Sale though! Did he break the whole rear end, or just an axle shaft? If it's just a shaft, they are pretty cheap and you could do it yourself for them. Just a thought.

Good Luck!!

Re: FINALLY sold the Camaro!!!

just the shaft the way i understood it, it came clean out from the car so theres some damage to the brake caliper too. the point is i dont know if the kid was beating the **** out of it or not, and its his car now not mine. Granted it sucks and i feel bad,but ive been burned alot worse than that before.
