I'm interested in seeing how other LT1s with FI are setup. Exchange ideas and tips...

A buddy of mine has a boosted LT1 car...What kind of info are you looking for?

 

Just wondering what they all have done, times and such. Problems they ran into being FI.

 

i have a procharged lt1. it ran pretty good untill the end of last year. it developed a miss and now fowls out a plug with oil within about 5 minutes of running. best time at the track was 12.1@ 116 with a 1.95 60 foot. my before times were 13.4 @ 104. here is a list of what i all have done

procharger p600b @ 8psi
3 core intercooler
delteq w/ ngk tr6 plugs
borla catback w/ e-cutout
obdI conversion tuning by pcmforless and fine tuned w/tunercat by me
42# svo injectors
bmr torque arm
bf goodrich drag radials
160 t-stat
i think thats about it

when i first got the kit installed and got my tune from pcmforless i was running 12.8 @110. they kept it real conservative, so i crossed my fingers and bumped up the timing and leaned it out some and saw a noticable improvement.

Why not, i used to use spray until i went through 4 bottles in about 2-3 weeks

Even knowing a n20 dealer bottle refills are not cheap

I'd love to meet up with some f-bodies that attend the midnight mayhems at Cordova Il! Anyone in the 11s or faster?

Never heard of Cardova? I live in madison but chose not too boost, going LE2 heads and cam instead. Let me know if you make your way toward Madison or plan on heading to a track.

 

I'm going to do the LE2 setup and the juice, I just gotta save up for a better bottom end now. I got most of the top end parts gathered including a used LE2 cam. Now I just need to pick up a spare set of heads and send them to good ole Lloyd.

 

hey by chance are you in platteville for school? and i think i might go to cordova something this spring since im near there for school but i got a boosted lt1 havent ran at the track yet im outside chicago usually go to GLD

 

No, I don't goto Platteville for school. I'm just here hanging out with college buddies and working full time in town.

If anyone is interested in going to Cordova IL for drag racing this year, i will make sure to post a thread in this section as soon as possible. If anyone wants to meet up sometime, we would be glad to drive down together. I usually try to go when my buddy with his 9sec GN goes.

Feel free to post about if you would like to meet up when we go and i'll double check this thread and send PMs out to whoever wants to go so you won't have to keep checking this section all the time.
