Wrecked my car...

To make a long story short the road was wet and I was making a left turn and the car swapped ends with me and I did a 180 and smashed a curb. Ruined 3 wheels and 2 tires. What are the specs on the factory wheels? I need to buy 4 new wheels. Don't drive in the rain guys........

Stock wheels are very easy to come by, and sell for no more than $50 per.

How hard did you hit the curb? Make sure you didn't break any suspension pieces or even worse, bend the unibody. When i had my '90 i smacked a curb with my right front rim and bent the unibody and knocked out a ball joint. I later totalled it by getting run off the road into a lane that ended into a curb...i hit it head on at about 45 mph. My back window blew out on impact and the unibody was totally f'ed.

Damn, curbs cost me alot of money from age 16-18!!!!

Yeha check the local forum to your area on this website.

I got my current rims off of what a coincidence 94greyv6 he guy posting above me.

I am looking at a spare set of rims for autocross tires, from a local guy, I could be getting a set of 16X8 5-stars for $150.

Consider yourself lucky. My first encounter with a curb cost me 1300 bucks.

It's going to cost me 800 unless I can find some cheap rims & tires.

Unhappy Ouch

Sorry to hear about your car.

I had the same situation...rain and a left hand turn. I didn't smash into anything...I just went over the sidewalk into a parking lot (empty). Boy...that was fun.

But I did learn how to control the car better...about a year ago on a offramp in the rain it lost control but I remembered how this thing handles in the rain and corrected. Don't even want to think what would have happend if I panicked (sp).

Here is your excuse to find some good rims and tires.

Speaking of which...I need new tires...

another thing dont fool around in the rain unless its an open parking lot. i always gun it going like 35 and fish tail a lil and over stear which isnt smart. but i cought my self a few times. i did it going 45 on a 4 lane road. didnt over stear of fish a lil. just went barrowling into a 360. on a 4 lane road. slowed down enough that when i hit the curb on the other side i didnt do any damage. i thank god no cars where coming cause i wouldnt of died chances are but the car woulda been totaled. i wont ever do that again. that gets me thinkin stepping into my car. iver done alot of stupid things but thats the first time i ever scared my self.
