Wiring question for any V6 owner.
Wiring question for any V6 owner.
I have a 3.4L v6 I'm swapping into a chevy truck. It's from a 95 camaro, pretty sure it's a manual. I've managed to idnetify all the wires except for three connectors. Anyone with a v6 4th gen could probably identify these.
Here they are and thanks:
#1
2-wire connector near driver's side exhaust manifold. It has a Green wire w/ wht stripe and another wire that is either brown or tan. It comes out of the harness at the exact place the o2 wire does, driver's side.
#2
10-pin connector with 8 wires coming out of it. It's within 1.5 ft of the pcm. It comes out of the wiring harness at the smae place a 3 wire A/C connector does. I think the A/C connector is for the pressure relief sensor. Below is a list if the wires coming out of it
2 Large Pink wires
1 Small Pink wire
1 Large Green wire
1 Small green wire
1 Small Green wire w/ wht stripe
1 Small Brown wire?
1 Small Tan wire?
#3
2-wire connector somewhere near the trans. Has a Large Light Green wire and a Large Brown wire. Shares the part of the harness that has the VSS. The connector itself is tan I think.
Any info you got is appreciated.

Re: Wiring question for any V6 owner.
C'mon, no one can pop the hood and look at a couple connectors. I can't find any v6 4th gens in my local junkyard.
How about this, if you own a v6 4th gen and you live within 30 miles of pasadena, let me know. I'll cruise over and figure it out for myself. I'll even bring a 6-pack or pizza which ever you prefer...thx.

Re: Wiring question for any V6 owner.
Yea, I have the engine compartment wiring diagram and the PCM diagram. I figured out what all the other connectors were using these but these connectors don't seem to be on there for some reason or I'm just really missing something.
Trying to get pics up soon.
1. Does this go to the FP relay or directly to the fuel pump.
2. Makes sense I guess, never worked with coil packs before and they didn't come with the engine so I don't know what connections it requires. I buy the coil packs asap.
3. AC request huh, would explain the large guage wires. What is it doing by the trans? Does it go through the shifter hole, what does it connect to?
Thanks alot.

Re: Wiring question for any V6 owner.
Ben it goes to a relay directly and excites it. Also you are going to need a VATS bypass too, you can buy off of ebay about 30.00 bucks. The lt green,,,UMmm sorry about that, read it wrongly, the others are ok, I was looking at dark green. I wnt down and checked my 3.4 on the engine stand and it goes into the front connector on a T5 tranny. The longer one in the harness goes to vss. Anyway, the light yellowish green wire goes to the back up lite switch in the tranny. Should perfectly match up with the front connector on a T5. Thats why you have larger gauge wire, by the way, mine looks like it is 16 or 18 gauge.

Re: Wiring question for any V6 owner.
Just to make sure I got this straight...
1. Goes to the fuel pump realy
2. Goes to the coil pack
3. Goes to a T5 tranny for the back up lights.
BTW, I really appreciate your help. It would have taken me a very long time to get this info another way.
