I did the same thing on my z28. You definentally need to replace the lower control arm which will cost 200ish plus labor (I did all my labor myself). You should probably get a new rim and possibly a new tire if it is damaged. You should probably get a new swaybar link kit which is 10$ and replace the sway bar links on both sides. Now may be a good time to change your tie rod ends if they are bad. It is also possible that your spindle and upper control arm and even your frame is bent as well....

It may seem like a small problem but in reality there are a lot of possibilities. I would replace the lca, new swaybar link kit, possibly new rim and tire depending on how they are, and then get an alignment.

It is possible that you messed something up really bad inside and it wont take an alignment like mine did. I ended up having my uncle do a special alignment based off an autocross style but i ended up having to have my steering wheel a little off center to allow it to work because it was soo messed up inside with steering and all.

If you do the work yourself it will cost you 300-400 + 50$ for alignment. I got a quote from a collision shop and they wanted 1500$ for the job.

Well, don't get yourself down, i know that feeling. I was soo pissed off when it happened but i had it fixed within a week and it drove great again. I learned a lot by doing my own work. All i notice now is that my steering wheel is a little off center no big deal though. I still need to paint a big scratch on the side of my car but ive temporarily touched it up for now.

Exactly. If you don't have the $$$ for the repairs, shouldn't be driving irresponsibly like that.

Either way, you'll learn from it. It can be fixed, but it'll cost some $$$.

I agree with the above, it just sucks that you dont' have the extra money....now would be a good time to swap to tubular A-arms and maybe a K-member too

Good Luck gettin your bird back together!

I feel for you man, last summer I was doing burnouts and backed out a couple lugs... i guess ....
I was driving about 70 over a bridge and the left back wheel flew of and that 10 wide wheel tore a big chunk out of my quarter panel....
At least we're both alive
