will a computer chip make a difference in my 94 camaro 3.4? this is only a work vehicle, but i got flowmaster exost and that made a difference.... will a chip change it? what other reasonable performance mods are there for a v6?

hey man i have a 1997 v6 3.8L firebird and i put a speed chip on it and it gave me like 12 hp and you can tell the differce but you need to get a good one i sugest you get one called the juice box they are located in canada.they are very cheap too.but yea if you are wanting alittel more bang for your buck i would do it and i put mine in like 5 min lol no lie.

Do you have the dyno sheets to prove it? Or is it just one of those "Wow, I xspent the money, so my car IS going faster!" deals?

12 hp's from just a chip...somewhat thought provoking, if nothing else.

But, if you do have the walk to back the talk, great, I'm convinced that chips are a decent $300ish investment.

 

those chips are not a decent investment. especially for 300 bucks. for 300 bucks you could get a custom tune from texas speed and know that it will work.

 

the 3.8 engine is totally different compared to the 94 3.4 60 degree, like comparing apples and oranges.

Personally I would not worry about the computer unless you have done serious mods.
