Where is the EGR valve?

I had my ses light start blinking yesterday with a noticible loss in power. The pcm is throwing two codes -

P1406 - EGR position sensor
P0301 - Cylinder 1 misfire

the cylindre misfire is probabally due to the fact that its ignition cable is cracked and old looking. I plan on replacing all the plugs and wires soon anyways.

I've read to soak the EGR valve in carbon cleaner and clean it before replacing it but i don't know where it is to actually take a look at it.

Thanks for your help

The EGR is on one of the exhaust manifolds.

thanks, i'll see about looking at that tomorrow. I noticed that sparg plug wire 1 actually was sorta melted to the engine. After i peeled it off the cylinder stopped misfiring. I insulated the cracked portion further to hold me over till i can afford wires.
