Whats This Plug???

Whats This Plug???

ok on a 3.4 engine where the thermostat is its on the right side by that screw on when you take the thermostat,there's some plug there right by the thermostat under the air intake plenum,when I was taking my thermostat off the switch broke and now I got the service engine soon light and when I start my car it shuts off,it starts on the second try but when I let off the gas pedal the engine wants to stall,So I need to know whats that switch for

I didn't go outside, but I think that is your Cam Position Sensor???

Its in the manifold, not the TB right?

yes right by the coil packs and the thermostat,maybe its a Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor

the cam position sensor is on the pass side of the block, right next to the motor mount, what a bitch to replace also.......

agreed.....doesn't it also have a small ground wire running from the back of the harness?

don't think thats the one,the one that I'm talking about is on the drivers side right by the thermostat and it does have the wires

and another ? when I start my car the engine fan would come on right away even if the engine is cold and my service engine soon light is on,Is this my IAT sensor bad

your CTS (coolant temp) sensor is bad.

IAT wont make the fan come on.

so thats the coolant temp sensor right by the thermostat right?

yes sir, that be it, make sure you use teflon tape on the threads when you reinstall the new one.
