what spark plug gap?

the basics: '96 v6 camaro (3.8l), 5-speed, stock, 100,000+ miles.

time for a tune up...going w/ the acdelco rapidfire spark plugs. what should they be gapped at?

also changing the plug wires, air filter, fuel filter, some part of the pvc/pcv valve (whatever its called).

also, this car has been running on 91 octane gas w/ stockish plugs. this car isnt made for 91, is it?

thanks for the help

im not sure off the top oif my head the gap...prob around .45 guessing though.

No they are not designed to run on the high grade fuel. the unleaded is all tehy need, unles u have some serious mods done. Correct me if im wrong though guys. I have used 91 a few times and didnt get any better at all so.... didnt notice much diffrence in power either.

gap at .060, and 91 oct. doenst help a bit, since were not running high comp. engines and/nor NOS, Turbo or Supercharger theres no risk of detonation.

You don't need anything higher than 87 and if you think your car runs better on 89 or 91, you're fooling yourself.

Unless you are really modded, .060 gap.
